Hi, I'm Chloe Swinney

I’m a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist with a specialism in Speech Sound Difficulties. I love my job - supporting children of all ages so that their voices can be heard and understood.
I have worked within a large NHS team in Bristol and South Gloucestershire for 10 years, where I managed the school-age team and specialised in Speech Sound Disorders.
My main area of interest is in addressing speech sound delays and disorders including a particular specialism in treating motor-speech disorders such as Childhood Apraxia of Speech, and articulation challenges like lisps and nasal sounds.
Additionally, I have good experience in supporting language delays and disorders, focusing on both comprehension and expression.
In my practise I use various evidence-based programs, depending on your child’s needs, and am skilled in using programs such as the Nuffield Dyspraxia Programme, Cycles Approach, the Complexity Approach, Cued Articulation, and contrast therapies.
With my extensive background in the NHS, I am well-equipped to collaborate with your local NHS team. Whether you are awaiting NHS support or looking to optimise the Speech Therapy services available to your child, I am here to help.
I am registered with professional bodies; the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT), and the Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice (ASLTIP), so you can trust the care that I provide.
Chloe Swinney, PGDip Cert MRCSLT MASLTIP HCPC Reg.
I started Lighthouse Speech Therapy so I could provide assessments and personalised therapy plans for children with delayed and disordered speech and language. I do this via secure video calls, delivered at times that suit your family's schedule, without sitting on a waiting list! Evening and weekend sessions are also available. Because I only offer online sessions – I’m good at it!
