Are you a Speech and Language Therapist? Would you like some supervision, whether as a one-off, or on a more regularly scheduled basis? I can offer this online.
Prior to my independent practise I managed a large and diverse team of therapists in a busy NHS team, from line-managing new band 5s going through their competencies, all the way to experienced band 7s and was able to access training in supervision and coaching.
If you would like supervision in working with mainstream school populations, look no further! Its part of the job that I really enjoy.
I am approachable and generous with my time, advice and resources. I like to stay up to date on the latest best practice, but I’m also practical in how I support others to actually implement this into their clinical practice. No question is ever stupid!
Email me for the cost of this, but I aim to keep costs low and affordable because it’s a key part of our roles.
My background:
I can support you with:
The Practical:
- Caseload management and advocating for your skills and time in school settings
- Communicating well with the team around the child and managing difficult situations
- EHCP related queries
The Clinical:
Speech: conducting and analysing errors following assessment, target setting in an effective way, contrast therapies for phonological therapy, Articulation approaches and stimulation of sounds, lisps of all kinds, nasality issues, motor-speech related approaches including DTTC and Nuffield Dyspraxia Program, Cycles Program, Complexity Approach, support with difficult cases.
Language: Most treatment approaches such as colourful semantics and other visual scaffolding approaches to grammatical interventions. Narrative work, Vocabulary development, programs that support understanding questions and instructions. How to keep things functional!
I have good working knowledge of many current resources that are out there, as well as having a good bank of my own self-made resources – and I’m always happy to share things that have worked.
